The Patronat de Turisme has stepped up its activity in April through the implementation of four promotional initiatives aimed at the general public in nearby markets: Catalonia and the South of France. One of the highlights is the Costa Brava km0 and Pirineu de Girona km0 initiative, which marks the beginning of a new promotional strategy for Girona’s destinations based on three key pillars: gastronomy, product and territory, with a bearing on the markets of Barcelona and its metropolitan area. Moreover, the Patronat has welcomed some fifty international journalists in ten press trips to the area, has held a new Web 2.0 workshop for tourism professionals and has collaborated in the publication of a new book entitled Costa Brava. Panoràmiques d’avui (Costa Brava. Present-day panoramic views).
The promotional initiative will showcase the tourism, oenogastronomic and cultural offer of the counties of Girona directly in nearby outbound tourist markets.
