2013 has got under way with an ambitious action plan unveiled to local councils, tourism bodies and private companies from the Girona area in a series of presentations. The Patronat has taken part in the year's first international tourism fairs, including Fitur in Madrid, as well as in a Central European roadshow. It has also signed a collaboration agreement with Renfe to take advantage of the new high-speed rail link to Girona and Figueres, and has presented the statistics of the Girona-Costa Brava Airport Tourist Office. As regards new technology applied to tourism, the visitor traffic figures have been published for the Costa Brava and Pirineu de Girona official portal and for the Patronat's social networks. Meanwhile, the first Instagram your city competition in the area and a specific blogtrip have taken place as part of the Girona10 initiative.
