Fairs schedule

Five new tourism fairs have been incorporated in the 2013 fairs schedule of the Patronat de Turisme, bringing the total number up to 25.

MARCH 2014

In 2013 the Patronat de Turisme Costa Brava Girona will participate directly in 25 fairs in Catalonia, the rest of Spain and abroad, four fewer than last year. However, it will be attending 12 of these fairs with a specific product: golf, nature and active tourism, cruises, conferences and conventions, and gastronomy.

Over the course of this year's campaign it will attend five new tourism fairs taking place in countries including France, Russia, Ukraine and China. The Patronat is participating in specialised fairs such as the Golden Dolphin in Moscow or the Salon Nautique in Le Cap d’Agde (France) as a result of the specific interest shown by the members of the Nature and Active Tourism Marketing Club of the Patronat de Turisme.

This year the Patronat de Turisme will be present at leading tourism fairs in Spain and abroad with the goal of boosting direct initiatives aimed at the professional sector, including specialised national and international tour operators, with whom it will establish contacts in order to gain comprehensive knowledge of the contents of their offering for the Girona destinations and how it is designed.

The goal is to become directly associated with the professional sector in terms of appearing in its brochures, forging closer links between tourism businesses from the Girona area and this sector, and boosting our brands together the overall tourism offering.

While Fitur 2013 was being held in Madrid, the Patronat de Turisme was participating in the Salon des Vacances in Brussels (Belgium) and was preparing for its attendance at the International Fair of Tourism in Belgrade (Serbia), and the Golden Dolphin in Moscow (Russia). Prior to this, from 19th to 27th January, it took part in Boot in Düsseldorf (Germany), a specialised nautical tourism fair, with the Nature and Active Tourism Marketing Club of the Patronat de Turisme.

As part of the 2013 campaign, in addition to taking part in the leading tourism fairs of the sector, the Patronat will implement a series of promotional initiatives in public spaces of cities such as Barcelona, San Sebastian, Narbonne and Paris, among others.
