Product marketing clubs

The members of the Golf and the Health and Beauty marketing clubs review 2012 and approve their respective action plans for 2013.

The annual general assemblies of the Golf and the Health and Beauty marketing clubs of the Patronat de Turisme Costa Brava Girona were held on 22nd and 23rd January. The assemblies offered an opportunity to review and analyse the initiatives carried out in 2012. Their respective 2013 action plans and budgets were also approved.

In 2013 the Costa Brava and Pirineu de Girona Golf marketing club, made up of 40 companies of the sector, is organising golf tournaments in the south of France to promote the destination among French golf professionals and amateurs. It has also scheduled several specialised workshops in Scandinavia, Ireland and Germany aimed at tour operators and professionals of the sector.

Meanwhile, the Costa Brava and Pirineu de Girona Health and Beauty marketing club, which is composed of 16 establishments and companies of the sector, is targeting the French market in 2013 having focused on Catalonia and Spain in recent years. It also plans to produce photo features of its members in order to update the club’s image archive and freshen up its communication campaigns.

At present the two marketing clubs devote most of their budgets to public relations campaigns and it is worth pointing out that the economic return on their investment has increased by 15% in the case of the Health and Beauty marketing club and 19% in the case of the Golf marketing club in respect of 2011. The economic value of their media presence in 2012 has been calculated at 1.1 million euros in specialised health and beauty media outlets and 1.8 million euros in the case of golf media outlets.

The general assembly of the Nature and Active Tourism marketing club will take place on Tuesday 12th February.
