Here we present a round-up of the tourism activity in the province of Girona during Easter Week 2021. We ran an innovative online promotional campaign aimed at 160 Belgian travel agents and media, as well as virtual workshops and webinars in the Spanish, Polish and Eastern European markets. We also resumed visits by opinion leaders to the destination, produced new promotional materials for the German market and continued with our face-to-face presentations of Girona’s business tourism offer in Spain. Finally, we continued our training programme for tourism sector professionals and provided support to companies and organisations that carry out projects promoting the Costa Brava and Girona Pyrenees brands and destinations.
The tourism sector in the Girona province is back on its feet again after months of inactivity, reporting occupation figures similar to those of Easter Week 2019. This year, occupation was 70% on the Costa Brava and 90% in the Girona Pyrenees.
