October has been an extremely busy month for the Patronat de Turisme in terms of promotional and communication activity aimed at tourism professionals and end users. Highlights include the successful turnout at the Mercat de Mercats (Market of Markets) fair in Barcelona and the boosting of wine tourism in the area, the participation of the Patronat in the Catalonia-Russia Business Forum, its attendance at the Pirineus de Catalunya Workshop, its presence at tourism fairs, and the organisation of promotional initiatives aimed at travel agents and the international press. It is also worth mentioning the initiatives carried out by the Patronat to support organisations, associations and guilds of Girona tourism professionals, along with the holding of the ninth professional training day aimed at this sector. In the 2.0 environment, the Patronat has presented its analysis of the impact of the TBEX conference on social networks and has received an award for its digital promotion strategy.
