80 professionals take part in the ninth training day on innovation in tourism companies.

The ninth training day, entitled "The present and future of tourism: product creation and marketing", organised by the Patronat de Turisme Costa Brava Girona, brings together eight professionals from the tourism sector with the goal of exploring in depth the creation and marketing of tourism products.

On this occasion, the day was geared towards achieving greater interaction between business people, managers, students and speakers in order to foster dialogue and networking.

The training day sessions dealt with various topics: new forms of communication, an activity led by Tirso Maldonado, evangelist manager of Witcamp.com (the social learning platform); product creation, presented by David Mora, manager of the tourism division of CEGOS; and Futurism: The future of tourism, led by J. A. Donaire, Director of INSETUR, among others. Over the course of dynamic sessions and round table discussions led by experts including Doctor Donaire, issues such as "Online vs. Offline" were addressed, with the participation of David Mora, Jordi Martí and Leire González.

The day was aimed at stimulating the sector to ensure that it remains committed to innovation and continuous training with the goal of maintaining the position of leadership of our destination. The training day is not a standalone event but rather it is accompanied by a series of practical workshops that begin on 30th October and are scheduled to take place over the coming winter months and into the spring of 2013. With this training day the Patronat de Turisme fulfils another of its functions and aims, through the training of professionals, to update, improve and even restructure the way of doing business.
