The Patronat de Turisme began its 2010 action plan by participating at Fitur, launching the project of developing the Strategic Plan 2011-2015 and opening the new tourist office in Girona Costa Brava Airport. In December, as part of the Centenary celebrations, the Barbaza Yvette Award for Tourism Research was created, in honour of the author of the first doctoral thesis about the Costa Brava. The year also began with new projects and the promotion of the destination brand.
