With the Pyrenean winter season just around the corner, the month began with the presentation of the promotional video of the Pirineu de Girona and with a powerful marketing and communication initiative aimed at the press and travel agencies of the Balearic Islands. The Patronat de Turisme has also focused its activity on giving presentations and information to tourism professionals on the most noteworthy developments for the 2013 season in golf (at the IGTM in the Algarve), cruise travel (at Seatrade Med in Marseilles) and the MICE sector (at the EIBTM fair in Barcelona). One of the month’s highlights was the creation of the "Costa Brava Cruise Ports" brand to promote Roses and Palamós ports in the international cruise travel market. Visits by international travel agents and journalists to destinations in the Girona area were also scheduled throughout the month with the goal of generating tourism articles and features with a view to next year.
