The "Costa Brava Cruise Ports" brand is created to promote Roses and Palamós ports in the international cruise travel market.
Seatrade Med, the most important cruise travel fair in the Mediterranean, held this year in Marseilles from 27th to 29th November, was the chosen venue for the official presentation of "Costa Brava Cruise Ports", a new commercial brand created with the goal of identifying, bringing together and promoting cruise activity in Roses and Palamós ports in the international cruise travel market and boosting the local economy.
This brand is the result of the efforts of six institutions working in conjunction (Ports of the Catalan Government, the Patronat de Turisme Costa Brava Girona, Roses Town Council, Palamós Town Council, the Girona Chamber of Commerce and the Palamós Chamber of Commerce) as part of a framework agreement to jointly promote Roses and Palamós ports and the surrounding area, in a sector for which experts still forecast growth.
Furthermore, as part of the same framework initiative, the new www.costabravacruiseports.com website was also presented. It has been designed as one of the main tools for publicising and presenting the two ports, the towns of Roses and Palamós and the historical, cultural, gastronomic and leisure activities offered to visitors to the Costa Brava.
The new website, currently in English and with Catalan and Spanish versions available soon, includes a port section listing the technical features, facilities and services offered by the two ports to cruise ship operators and passengers. Meanwhile, the tourism section of the site plays a key role in boosting the tourism profile of the Costa Brava and in publicising the activities available to cruise ship tourists in Roses and Palamós, as well as in the most famed spots of the counties of Girona.
The presentation event for the new brand and website was attended by cruise ship operators, tour operators, port authorities, Medcruise members, international press and the major representatives of the cruise travel sector.
