In November the ski resorts in the Girona Pyrenees started the 2018-2019 ski season with a bright outlook; this coincided with the successful closure of the best cruise ship season in the Costa Brava’s history and the third edition of Som Cultura, which proved highly popular. The Tourist Board’s promotional activity focused on showcasing the destinations and products in the Costa Brava and Girona Pyrenees on the German, UK, Belgian and Australian markets through the special TastEmotion event, workshops, presentations and trade shows. In addition, in line with the designation of 2018 as Year of Cultural Tourism by the Catalan Tourist Board and the Costa Brava Girona Tourist Board, three promotional events were held to showcase the range of cultural options available in Catalonia and in the province of Girona on an international level.
