Roadshow in Australia

The Costa Brava and Girona Pyrenees tourist and cultural offering is promoted in Australia.

From November 19^th to 22^nd, within the framework of the Year of Cultural Tourism, the Catalan Tourist Board organised three workshops in the Australian cities of Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, where 8 Catalan companies and official entities met with over 120 local tourist operators to publicise and sell the Catalan cultural tourism offering.   One of the main events held in Australia was the Som Cultura Tour: held in conjunction with the Costa Brava Girona Tourist Board run by the Girona Provincial Council, this was used to introduce tour operators, representatives from the media and opinion leaders to the six most important routes in Catalonia: these itineraries enable visitors to tour the province with Catalan culture as the common theme. In the course of the event the Sydney Castellers gave a demonstration of human tower building and participants were also shown the videos Journey to a Land of Culture and A Route at Random with which both entities are promoting the Year of Cultural Tourism.   These events form part of the initiatives organised by the Catalan Tourist Board and the Costa Brava Girona Tourist Board to publicise the Year of Cultural Tourism all over the world throughout 2018 and 2019.
