Food and wine showcasing in Belgium

The Costa Brava is promoted as a food and wine tourism destination in Brussels.

On November 29^th the Costa Brava Girona Tourist Board held a special event in Brussels to present the food and wine and generic range of options available in the Costa Brava and Girona Pyrenees to 35 travel agencies and tour operators. The presentation was followed by a gourmet meal with D.O. Empordà wines and ratafia, prepared by Girona’s Michelin-starred chefs Quim Casellas, from Casamar Restaurant in Llafranc, Pere Arpa, from Ca l’Arpa in Banyoles, and Francesc Rovira, from Fonda Xesc in Gombrèn. There was also a networking session to hold interviews with the attendees. In 2019, the Tourist Board intends to continue influencing the Belgian market owing to its importance for destinations in Girona, by holding showcasing events including workshops, presentations and trade agendas.
