The Costa Brava and Girona Pyrenees was represented at national and international trade fairs focused on a range of tourism aspects and different tourist-oriented markets like America, Russia, France and Sweden. A number of workshops with industry professionals were held in March, and the Board also stepped up its training courses for local entrepreneurs and organised press, fam and blogger trips over the month. The Tourist Board’s promotional activities continue to position the region as a food and wine destination, with significant figures like 40,000 wine tourists who participated in the DO Empordà Wine Tour 2015 and the celebration of the 3rd Vívid Wine Festival. Meanwhile, the Costa Brava was promoted on social media thanks to the production of a promotional video that racked up half a million views in less than a week.
