Promotion at trade fairs

Participation in six international tourism trade fairs in Central Europe and the United States and three in Spain and Catalonia

The Costa Brava and Girona Pyrenees’s generic tourist attractions, along with its specific products –golf, campsites and cruises– were promoted at the most important international tourism trade fairs in March: ITB in Berlin, Germany; Golf Expo in Helsinki, Sweden; Seatrade Cruise Shipping in Miami, Florida; MITT in Moscow, Russia; Salon du Tourisme in Paris, France, and Salon de la Randonnée de Lió in France. Promotional activities were also carried out at in Spain at the Sevatur trade fair in San Sebastián and in Catalonia at the Girocàmpings trade fair in Girona and the Fira del Ram in Vic. The Tourist Board’s attendance at these fairs resulted in new contacts with tour operators, travel portals, airlines and cruise ships as well as the media and end users in general.
