The statistics for this year’s high-season tourist activity in the province of Girona have been compiled and are considered to be ‘very satisfactory’. Over the summer, the Costa Brava Girona Tourist Board continued its activity, planning two new initiatives, the ‘Som Benestar’ (or We Are Wellness) festival and the ‘Beu-te el museu’ (Drink the Museum) campaign, aimed at local audiences and designed to boost and maintain tourism in the early autumn months. It also took part in various presentations and organised numerous trips for national and international opinion leaders. Finally, the Board has also continued to provide its support for sports and cultural projects, and for organisations promoting projects and awards in the destination.
The province of Girona received 3.89 million tourists, who generated almost 15 million overnight stays in June, July and August.
