In September the tourism sector carried out its traditional review of the summer season, which this year has been uncharacteristically uneven, while the Costa Brava Girona Tourist Board strengthened its ties with the business community and stepped up its promotional activities abroad. The Board took part in specialist international trade fairs, reopened its marketing calendar to promote conference tourism in the south of France, presented the winter sports and active tourism attractions of the Catalan Pyrenees to Spanish tour operators, and organised seven press trips to the destination. The Board also gave its backing to the elBulliFoundation project at Cala Montjoi in Roses, signing its supporting manifesto. The autumn season was launched with a broad package of promotional measures to market the tourist attractions of the Girona Pyrenees in 2014-2015.
