November 2019

In November the 2019-2020 ski season got off to a promising start at the Girona Pyrenees ski resorts, with numerous innovations in terms of facilities and services. The Tourist Board intensified its promotional activity in the last part of the year, with various events aimed at showcasing the Costa Brava and Girona Pyrenees destinations and products for long-distance markets such as Japan and South Korea for the first time, and for medium-distance markets like Israel, as well as taking part in five trade shows and three workshops. This month also marked the successful end of the best cruise ship season in the Costa Brava’s history and the fourth edition of the Som Cultura festival, which was very well received by the public. Throughout the month, the Tourist Board supported destinations by participating in conferences, presentations, opening ceremonies and sectoral events. It also won one of the prestigious international ITTA awards for its TastEmotion promotion campaign.
