Promotion in Israel

Forty Israeli tour operators and communications media take an interest in the destination’s cultural and activity tourism options.

On 14th November the Costa Brava Girona Tourist Board, with the Catalan Tourist Board’s support, carried out a marketing event in Tel-Aviv for 27 channel intermediaries, including representatives from agencies Issta, Olamot, Eshet Tours and Diesenhaus, and 13 influencers from different media like Israel Hayom, Walla, Ynet and YOLO Blog, with the aim of showcasing the specifically cultural and nature activities tourism options in the Costa Brava and Girona Pyrenees. In the course of the conference, attendees had the chance to discover Catalonia and the towns and areas with Jewish heritage, such as Girona, Besalú and Castelló d’Empúries, as well as routes and itineraries in natural parks and protected natural areas inland and in the Girona Pyrenees. This action forms part of the Costa Brava Girona Tourist Board’s Action Plan 2019. In addition, in February 2020, the entity is scheduled to take part in the IMTM trade show, from the Catalonia stand, in Tel-Aviv in order to follow up promotion on the Israeli market.
