In 2015 the Costa Brava Girona Tourist Board expects to exceed the 500 promotional activities it held in 2014, according to an ambitious Plan of Action and Objectives developed jointly with the private sector. With a budget of 5.2 million euros, the Tourist Board will focus on promotion in leading European markets France and Germany; develop the destination’s products by segments; boost promotion through digital and social media campaigns; strengthen relationships with leading tour operation agencies and create new tourism products in the province, among others.
In 2014 Catalonia received 16.7 million foreign tourists and Girona province over 4.7 million.
