August 2023

Throughout the summer the Costa Brava Girona Tourist Board keeps an eye on the evolution of the peak tourist season at destinations in Girona, which is looking satisfactory, as it awaits the official occupancy data. Internally, a new presidency of the Board has been elected for the next four years and the destination’s social media strategy has been revamped to promote quality content and to increase awareness of the brand.

Externally, the Tourist Board is developing specific co-marketing activities with international tourism operators to promote sports tourism to the British market, business tourism to the Catalan market and wine tourism to the Spanish market. Meanwhile, in summer it continues to support events and activities promoted by the tourism sector to Girona province that help energise the destination.
