Tourism trade fairs

Participation in three national and three international tourism fairs.


MARCH 2023

On 1 and 2 March the DO Empordà Wine Route Club shared the Catalonia promotional stand at the 4th edition of the FINE #WineTourism Marketplace trade fair in Valladolid, which brought together 125 wineries, routes and hotels from Spain, Portugal and the French region of Champagne. During the two days reserved for professionals, the Tourist Board and the companies Turismon and Viemocions held meetings with specialised agencies. 

From 7 to 9 March the Costa Brava Tourist Board attended the ITB fair in Berlin. Accompanied by the town of Castelló d’Empúries-Empuriabrava, the Board promoted the destination’s new tourist features and themed experiences for 2023 from the Catalonia stand. At the fair, representatives from Girona met with fifteen representatives from tour operators and travel portals.

From 24 to 26 March the tourism trade fair B-Travel was held in Barcelona and the Board participated from the Catalonia stand, promoting the Costa Brava and Girona Pyrenees’ tourist options among a Catalan audience, together with the towns of Blanes, Lloret de Mar, Castelló d’Empúries-Empuriabrava and El Port de la Selva in the Costa Brava space, and the counties of Cerdanya, Ripollès, Garrotxa and Alt Empordà in the Girona Pyrenees space. In parallel, on 25 and 26 March the Sports Tourism Club took part in the Copenhagen Bike Show in Denmark from the Catalonia stand, where it promoted the destination’s cycle tourism options among the Nordic market. 

Later, from 27 to 30 March the Board participated in the specialised cruise fair Sea Trade Cruise Global in Miami (USA) to promote the Costa Brava Cruise Ports brand from the Ports de Catalunya space. During the event the Board met with various shipping companies.

Finally, from 31 March to 2 April the Board promoted the region’s tourism services and facilities at Mercat del Ram in Vic, with the participation of a dozen towns and associations and various camping establishments.
