Promotion in the Nordic countries

Some 20 professionals from Norway’s tourism sector take an interest in the Costa Brava’s incentive and leisure tourism options.


On 11 January, the Costa Brava Girona Tourist Board took part for the first time in the Travelmatch annual meeting of professionals from the Norwegian tourism sector (agencies, content creators, media, OTAs) with the European tourism industry (DMC, convention bureaux), held in Oslo. 

During the event (workshop) meetings were held with 20 professionals interested in incentive tourism options –assisted by the Costa Brava Girona Convention Bureau– and in leisure options linked to wine tourism, cultural attractions and outdoor activities in nature. There was particularly strong interest in the destination’s golf and ecotourism products.

Also playing an active role in the Travelmatch event was the company Evenia Hotel and the Lloret Convention Bureau.

Most of the professionals already knew the Costa Brava brand and associated it with being a complementary destination to the city of Barcelona.
