Promotion in Nordic countries

The Costa Brava resumes tourism promotion in the Nordic market to influence the 2022 season.


With the pandemic under control and mobility re-established among European countries, in the first week of May the Costa Brava Girona Tourist Board organised the ‘Afterwork Costa Brava Girona’ dual promotional and commercial mission to Norway and Sweden. The goal was to increase awareness of the Costa Brava and Girona Pyrenees’ range of tourism options and new features among around seventy tourist intermediaries and opinion leaders in both countries, while renewing contact and promoting tourism for the 2022 summer season.

The Board promoted the Costa Brava and Girona Pyrenees’ wine and gastronomy, luxury, golf and business tourist services in the cities of Oslo and Stockholm among seventy or so specialised travel agents, journalists and content creators. 

This promotional action involved fifteen tourist organisations and companies from Girona, who took the opportunity to market their products and services, as well as renewing contact with Norwegian and Swedish professionals specialising in luxury travel, gourmet travel, exclusive group trips and incentive trips.

Both professional events ended with a gourmet meal prepared by Castell Peralada Restaurant, which has one Michelin star.
