In September, the Costa Brava Girona Tourist Board presented provisional data for visitors and tourist occupancy during the summer at the destinations of the province of Girona and rated them as “good”. Even so, it continues to work to lengthen the season to September and October.
Targeting the foreign markets, the Tourist Board has undertaken specific promotional actions at specialised fairs, it has launched the renovated portal for the Costa Brava Cruise Ports brand, organised presentations and sector-specific workshops for international agents and continues to develop fam trips, press trips and trips for digital content creators to different parts of the province. And on the domestic front, it has supported events and activities promoted by the tourism industry in the province of Girona that help give greater visibility to the destination.
The province of Girona has received 3.6 million tourists, generating 15.3 overnight stays, during the months of June, July and August.
The Board's promotional and marketing activities kicked off with participation in three specialised fairs focused on professionals.
