Workshops

We have attended four international professional events to promote cruise activities, sports tourism and MICE tourism.

The Medcruise General Assembly was held in Tarragona from 11 to 14 June. The event was attended by cruise industry stakeholders (ports, destinations, services, incoming agencies, shipping agencies), totalling more than 150 professionals. During the B2B meetings, there were 12 interviews with cruise companies such as Ambassador Cruise Line, Seabourn, Silversea Cruises, Star Clippers, Swan Hellenic Cruises and Four Seasons Yachting, who were interested in the services offered by the ports operating under the Costa Brava Cruise Ports brand.

From 14 to 17 June, the Costa Brava Girona Convention Bureau took part in the Workshop Events Club Forum in Prague, Czech Republic, partnering with the Girona Conference Centre, Lloret Convention Bureau and Azure Hotel. During the event, some 20 meetings were held with representatives from European business, scientific and medical associations.

From 18 to 20 June, the Tourist Board took part for the first time in the Workshop Teams Europe in London. This is a professional event focused on sports tourism in which the Tourist Board was co-exhibitor on the Catalonia stand. Two networking sessions were held, with a total of about 20 meetings.

Finally, from 25 to 28 June, the Tourist Board took part in the Meet Catalunya Green, held this year at the Costa Brava. This event, organised by the Catalunya Convention Bureau with assistance provided by the Costa Brava Girona Convention Bureau, brought together 75 international tour operators specialised in the business tourism sector and some 80 Catalan companies in a workshop that generated 1,500 sales meetings, networking sessions, and activities to discover the products offered by Catalan destinations through seven fam trips.
