DO Empordà, the only Spanish denomination of origin with a wine tourism guide in four languages

The Spanish, French and English editions of the Empordà Wine Tourism Guide by Lluís Tolosa were presented at the restaurant El Celler de Can Roca on 13th June, joining the second edition in Catalan, published a few months ago. The presentation was made by Ramon Ramos, Director of the Costa Brava Girona Tourist Board; Xavier Albertí, head of the Promotion Committee of the Regulatory Council of the DO Empordà; Lluís Tolosa, author of the publication; and Josep Roca, sommelier and owner of El Celler de Can Roca.
With the translations of the guide into Spanish, French and English, the Denomination of Origin Empordà has become the first and only Catalan and Spanish denomination to have a wine tourism guide of this nature and available in four languages.
The guide, 288 pages long, aims to serve as a practical guide for readers and visitors to the area, featuring 180 places to enjoy wine tourism and over 200 recommended wines.
Through this presentation the Costa Brava Girona Tourist Board has aimed to show its support for business initiatives that showcase the gastronomic, wine-related and tourism attractions of the counties of Girona and that contribute to promoting wine tourism in the destination.
