The new promotional video of the Costa Brava, containing stunning images of the destination taken from the air, was unveiled to the Girona tourism sector.
The Patronat de Turisme has produced a promotional video of the Costa Brava entitled The essence of Mediterranean, offering images taken from the air of the Girona coastline and featuring renowned places such as Cadaqués and Sant Pere de Rodes, the footpath that stretches along the entire Girona coastline, the Aiguamolls de l’Empordà natural park, the Medes Islands, Pals and Tossa de Mar, among many others, ending with a shot of Cala Montjoi in Cap de Creus (the location of El Bulli), in which the chef Ferran Adrià appears.
The promotional video, which lasts 3 minutes and 48 seconds, has been produced with the goal of showcasing the natural, cultural, heritage and tourism attractions of the Costa Brava destination for viewers.
The unveiling of the Costa Brava promotional video took place as part of the presentation of the 2011-2015 Strategic Tourism Plan of the counties of Girona on 16th June. The Patronat de Turisme will show the video in presentations to tourism sector professionals, travel agents and media outlets interested in discovering the destination, as well as to public bodies and organisations with competence in this area. Ferran Adrià will be featuring this video in his presentations as he unveils his El Bulli Foundation project around the world over the next two years. The video can be seen on the YouTube channel.This initiative is included in programme 4 of the Strategic Plan, concerned with boosting the international prestige of the destination.
