Trade fairs

Participation in three international tourism trade fairs in France and the United Kingdom.


JANUARY 2018

On 1 December, the Costa Brava Girona Tourist Board, together with the Costa Brava Centre Group, participated in the sixth edition of Discovery Day organised by Inntravel in Cheltenham, in the United Kingdom. The trade fair was aimed at Inntravel customers looking for a specialist offer in active tourism and gastronomy. From 11 to 14 December, the Costa Brava Golf Marketing Club, accompanied by eight golf courses, clubs and diverse companies from the Girona province, promoted the golf offer on the Costa Brava at the main international golf professional trade fair, the IGTM (International Golf Travel Market). As part of this important trade fair for the sector, the Board organised the Costa Brava Golf Dinner which was attended by 110 tour operators and 7 international journalists specialising in golf. The aim of the event was to bring the Costa Brava closer to guests by means of a presentation and a gastronomic meal created by Quim Casellas and Iolanda Bustos. From 4 to 6 December, the premium tourist offer of the Costa Brava was promoted at the ILTM Europe in Cannes, a specialist professional trade fair for luxury tourist products. The Board conducted 35 interviews with tour operators, travel agents specialising in the most exclusive segment and concierge service companies.
