The tourist attractions of the Costa Brava and the Girona Pyrenees were promoted at two trade fairs in Catalonia and abroad: 3 - 6 November: World Travel Market, WTM, London. The Tourist Board attended Europe's top tourism trade fair to promote specific products such as hiking, cycling and active tourism. It also held meetings with tour operators, airlines and the media. The Board shared a stand with Castell-Platja d’Aro, Blanes and Lloret de Mar. EIBTM, 18 - 20 November, Barcelona. The Costa Brava Girona Convention Bureau attended this trade fair for meeting, conference, convention and incentive tourism. The Bureau organised over 40 visits and meetings with agencies that organise business meetings and incentive trips from Germany, Scandinavia, the Benelux region and Israel. These agents are interested in Girona's outstanding facilities for meetings and incentive trips, including sports, gastronomic and cultural activities.
