Participation in the Spanish Open and IMEX in Frankfurt, Germany

Golf and business tourism in the Costa Brava and Girona Pyrenees was showcased in May at two industry trade fairs: the Spanish Open in Prat and the IMEX in Frankfurt, Germany. Eleven companies from the Costa Brava Pirineu de Girona Marketing Club publicised the destination’s range of golf-related tourism from 14 to 17 May at a booth set up in the Village of the Spanish Open 2015, celebrated at the Real Club de Golf in El Prat. The trade fair also served as an opportunity to enhance the visibility of the Costa Brava’s bid to host the 2022 Ryder Cup. Members of the Costa Brava Girona Convention Bureau attended the IMEX trade show in Frankfurt (Germany) from 19 to 21 May, accompanied by several companies and organisations from Girona’s business tourism sector. Six presentations on the destination targeted at thirty international agencies were given at IMEX, and meetings were held with 25 event and incentive organisers from the German and Central European market.
