Tourism fairs

The Tourist Board attended two international fairs in Central Europe and one in Spain to promote the destination's tourist offering.

FEBRUARY 2024

From 1 to 4 February, the Costa Brava Girona Tourist Board's Golf Marketing Club joined forces with the Costa Brava Association of Golf Courses and the Empordà Golf Club to attend the GolfMesse in Zurich, Switzerland, as part of the FESPO active tourism fair, to promote the destination's golf offering to one of the destination's priority markets. A networking session was organised during the event which generated contacts with specialised travel agencies.

Following that, the Free tourism fair was held in the German city of Munich from 14 to 18 February. The top event in Bavaria for holidays, campsites and nature-focused activities targeting the general public, the Costa Brava Girona Tourist Board attended this fair for the first time, with its own promotional stand. As co-exhibitors, the Tourist Board was accompanied by the local councils of Roses, Empuriabrava-Castelló d'Empúries, Calonge i Sant Antoni and Lloret Turisme, who promoted their specific tourism products. The immersive experience Inside Costa Brava Girona Pyrenees Quiz was rolled out at the fair, together with tastings of wines produced by DO Empordà wine route member wineries to promote wine tourism in the Costa Brava to the German market.

Lastly, the Navartur fair, held from 23 to 25 February in Pamplona, was attended by the Tourist Board to promote the Costa Brava and the Girona Pyrenees' tourist offering and the new tourism products and services for the 2024 season to an important market for the destination. The Tourist Board had its own stand, which it shared with the local councils of Roses, Begur, Palamós, Calonge i Sant Antoni, Castell d’Aro-Platja d’Aro and s’Agaró, Blanes, The Montgrí, Medes Islands and Baix Ter Natural Park, and the Las Dunas Campsite.
