The Centenary website gets a makeover

As the first year of celebrations of the Centenary of the Costa Brava comes to an end, the website has been given a makeover, refreshing content and adding new sections to make it more user-friendly and attractive.

MARCH 2014

The Centenary of the Costa Brava reached its halfway point on 12th September. This was the perfect occasion to give the website a makeover to make it more dynamic and user-friendly. The updated website will be up and running from November and will make it much faster for visitors to consult all the information concerning the Centenary and the actions being carried out.

In order for the website to reflect the objectives of the Centenary as accurately as possible, the new version classifies content into two main sections: The Centenary of the Costa Brava and 100 years of the Costa Brava. The first section is organised into themed sections that give a detailed explanation of the actions being implemented to celebrate these one hundred years. Meanwhile, the second main section focuses on the history of the “Costa Brava” name and places it in context. This information is complemented by a section of Centenary-related news and another section on the activities being carried out. This website makeover is completed with a section for the exclusive use of media outlets.

The aim of these changes is to create a useful tool for all those who are interested in the event but also those who wish to discover the Costa Brava on the commemoration of its Centenary. The new website is available in four languages: Catalan, Spanish, English and French.
