The business tourism offer is boosted

Meeting and conference tourism is becoming a key element for the diversification of Girona’s tourism model.

MARCH 2014

The Costa Brava and Pirineu de Girona is an exceptional destination for holding conventions, conferences or business and social events.

The area is becoming increasingly popular as a business and incentive tourism destination thanks to its wide-ranging accommodation, catering and leisure offer, along with the availability of outstanding sites in unbeatable settings, ideal for holding meetings.

Venues such as the Girona Auditorium and Conference Centre, the Roses Municipal Theatre and Conference Centre or the Platja d’Aro Sports and Conference Hall offer all kinds of possibilities for holding conferences, conventions and technical meetings. A wide variety of events are also organised there, including food shows, presentations, fashion shows, and theatrical and musical performances.

Lloret de Mar structures its offer and launches its own Convention Bureau to promote business tourism in the town.

The Lloret Convention Bureau, initially composed of 40 members, is a public-private initiative geared towards promoting the holding of events, conferences and conventions.
In addition to its strategic location, Lloret de Mar has more than 80 meeting rooms, 2 conference centres and 30,000 hotel beds to meet business tourism demands.
