Som Cultura 2019

The fourth edition of Som Cultura proposes 46 cultural activities for November, grouped by themes as literary routes, mystery games to discover our heritage, guided visits and inclusive activities.

Som Cultura is the month of cultural experiences in the Costa Brava and Girona Pyrenees. This year the event returns for the fourth consecutive year, with 46 genuine activities created by the entities and companies connected with the Costa Brava Girona Tourist Board’s Culture and Identity Marketing Club. Marking the end of the 2018-2019 Year of Cultural Tourism in Catalonia, the festival offers a selection of activities specially conceived as a means of rediscovering the wide range of cultural, heritage and artistic attractions throughout the province of Girona.

As in recent years, the organisers of Som Cultura have designed attractive and original activities for attendees. The proposals have been structured geographically, with the programme focussed in the Ripollès and Cerdanya on November 2nd and 3rd, shifting to the Alt Empordà and the Baix Empordà on 9th and 10th, then to the regions of the Gironès and Selva on 16th and 17th and ending up in the Garrotxa and Pla de l’Estany on November 24th and 25th. The activities in the campaign are also presented under four theme-based blocks: literary routes, mystery games to discover our heritage, guided visits and, lastly, inclusive activities.

The Som Cultura promotional campaign aims to stimulate cultural interest and consumption among both local inhabitants and visitors in autumn, as well as creating innovative and attractive tourist products to publicise the region culturally, ranging from monuments and heritage assets to traditional and popular manifestations and activities to discover historical identity.
