The destination’s Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, Facebook and LinkedIn profiles are being given a fresh look to harmonise the style, promote quality content and increase brand awareness.
Following the renovation of the Costa Brava and the Girona Pyrenees official website in April 2023, the destination’s Instagram, Twitter and TikTok profiles were also given a makeover to harmonise the style, improve the quality of the content, increase awareness of the brand and to capture and attract a greater international audience.
The Instagram profile @costabravapirineu has been given a new, fresh and dynamic look in line with that of the new tourism website. It is the main channel for publishing quality, attractive and inspiring graphic and audiovisual content, with relevant information for users. It brings together the values of the destination, integrates the message of the “Live Twice” advertising campaign and gives greater visibility to the services and products of the members of the Tourist Board’s marketing clubs. The posts, reels and guides serve as inspiration for potential domestic and international visitors. The profile promotes the hashtags #incostabrava, #inpyrenees and #livetwice.
The destination’s specific gastronomy and the Wine Route profiles are merged with the Instagram profile @foodcostabrava with the aim of retaining and growing the large and established user community.
The @costabravapirineu profile currently has more than 73,000 followers, on a par with the social media profiles of Spanish destinations such as the Canary Islands and the Costa Blanca.
Regarding Twitter, @costabrava is now the only profile disseminating content and news about the destination’s tourism offer, in addition to specific information on topics of tourist interest aimed at a local audience, such as wine and cuisine, culture, golf, and wellbeing, among others.
On LinkedIn, the Costa Brava Girona Tourist Board profile remains, which shares information about the activities it carries out, together with the Costa Brava Girona Convention Bureau profile, aimed at professionals in the business tourism sector. The Costa Brava Training Camps profile, an industry communication channel for sports tourism professionals, will be created soon.
In 2023 the Costa Brava Girona Tourist Board will complete its digital renovation strategy with the launch of the new official portal for Costa Brava and the Girona Pyrenees and the creation of a TikTok profile @costabravapirineu, and will bring its social media communications in line with current social platform trends. Finally, and to further improve the coherence of its digital content, the Tourist Board will use email marketing channels and paid media and create articles for its own blog.
These actions are aimed at aligning the values of the Board and the destination, promoting the tourism brands abroad and highlighting the province as a unique, quality destination
