Journalists and bloggers visited the region this summer to promote the destination’s tourist attractions and festivals among their readers


AUGUST 2015

Journalists from media outlets including TF1 (Télévision française 1), Le Figaro newspaper in France, the Kid Channel in Israel and the Jet2.com’s magazine JetAway visited Girona to write reports on the destination at the peak of tourist season. A group of Australian journalists also participated in a wine tourism press trip sponsored by the Catalan Tourist Board.

The Costa Brava’s packed musical festival schedule resulted in the organisation of two trips for Spanish culture bloggers from the TravelInspirers group in order to promote the diversity and quality of the Costa Brava’s summer music festivals among the Spanish public. Travel blogger Nicole Biarnes from travelmassive.com also attended several concerts at festivals in the province in late August. These actions were driven specifically by the Tourist Board’s Culture and Identity Club.

These six promotional events were made possible by the involvement and collaboration of the region’s tourism companies and organisations.
