Work meetings and press presentations, strategies to increase the number of visitors from Spain.

On 13th and 14th May, the Patronat de Turisme held a work session at the Hotel Mercure Santo Domingo in Madrid, attended by 65 professionals from 45 travel agencies from the Autonomous Community of Madrid and from 16 tourism organisations and companies from the Girona area.

The Hotel Mercure Santo Domingo was also the venue the following morning for a meeting with 90 Madrid-based travel journalists from various media outlets. This meeting had two aims: on the one hand, to offer them up-to-date and specific content on the tourism assets and products of the Girona area and, on the other hand, to strengthen and intensify professional relations by offering a bridge of direct dialogue. Gastronomy, culture and nature were the cornerstones of the presentation of the tourism offer of the Costa Brava and Pirineu de Girona destinations.

Through this marketing and communication initiative the Patronat de Turisme aims to increase the number of visitors from Spain to the Costa Brava and Pirineu de Girona destinations, specifically those from the Autonomous Community of Madrid.
