Promotional activity in London

The sensorial experience TastEmotion presented the Costa Brava and the Girona Pyrenees tourist offer to 90 British travel agents and consumer motivators.

From 20 to 22 March, TastEmotion, the innovative promotional activity organised by the Costa Brava Girona Tourist Board, was premiered in London. TastEmotion is an audiovisual and sensorial presentation of the Costa Brava and the Girona Pyrenees, consisting of a mapping and a special meal prepared by the chef of Restaurant Casamar, Quim Casellas (who has one Michelin star), which is aimed at a selective group of travel agents and journalists from the specialist media in the country.

Over three days, there were six TastEmotion thematic representations, organised by the various product marketing clubs of the Tourist Board, to present the territory’s tourist offer in a segmented, creative way to the main travel programmers and consumer motivators in the United Kingdom for the Costa Brava and Girona Pyrenees destinations.

The activity was part of a promotional strategy that was accompanied by a commercial agenda (visits to the main travel agents in London) and that includes the organisation of familiarisation and press trips to the destination in the autumn. The presentations were given to 52 travel agents and 40 journalists and bloggers who specialise in travel, tourism and programming.

TastEmotion will soon be taken to Paris, Milan and Munich to have an impact on the intermediary and consumer motivator channels of the Central European outbound tourism markets to the province of Girona.
