Nine travel agents, four journalists and four international bloggers visit the Costa Brava and Girona Pyrenees

Nine travel agents from Spain and the United States visited the Alt and Baix Empordà in February following an itinerary that included wine tourism tours as well as opportunities to discover La Garrotxa and its ecotourism. Three individual press trips were also organised for journalists from different publications including Condé Nast Traveler, Voyage Magazine, The Brittany Ferries and the IndianFoodBreak.com website. The participating journalists took trips focused specifically on the destination’s cultural and culinary attractions. Coinciding with the celebration of the Elefant Blau (Blue Elephant) International Circus Festival in Figueres, blogger Elena Pasching from the Creative Elena blog on travel and experiences and Nicole Biarnes from the blog Travel Massive attended the event to create social media content. Blogger Andy Higgs, manager of the Grown-up Travel Guide travel blog, also visited Girona’s ski resorts.
