Promotion of wellness tourism

Two herbal teas were presented to promote the Costa Brava and Girona Pyrenees as a destination for wellness tourism.

The Health and Wellbeing Marketing Club continued to promote wellness and responsible tourism on the Costa Brava and in the Girona Pyrenees, as per the specific plan of action that it implements every year to encourage and rejuvenate the region’s tourism. This May, the Club presented one of the year’s main projects: the creation, together with the company Tegust Nature, of a range of herbal teas inspired by the Costa Brava and the Girona Pyrenees. The Costa Brava Girona Tourist Board and Tegust Nature have joined forces to make two organic herbal teas: Costa Brava Essence, which evokes the true way of life of the seafaring people of the Girona coast; and Pyrenees Essence, which is inspired by nature, coolness and the intensity of the Girona Pyrenees. This collaboration means that establishments associated with the Health and WellbeingMarketing Club —and, later, also those that belong to the Board’s other marketing clubs— can include the herbal teas among the services they provide. The institution will also use them in promotions targeted at professionals and intermediaries and for merchandising purposes. Tegust will meanwhile market them among its customers. This project will encourage association of the Costa Brava and Girona Pyrenees brands with herbal teas, a healthy culinary product, and therefore enable it to reach potential customers interested in wellness products. From 10 to 12 May, market prospecting was likewise carried out at the London Balance Festival, targeted at end users, in order to find out aboutthe health and wellness tourism offering of Europe’s main destinations.
