The tourism offer of the Pirineu de Girona for the 2010-2011 season is promoted in ski and mountain tourism fairs in Madrid and Valencia, and at an event for end users in Barcelona.
Together with organisations and companies from the Girona area (the County Tourism Board of La Cerdanya, La Molina, Masella, Alp 2500, Vall de Núria and Solineu Hotels), the Patronat de Turisme Costa Brava Girona took part in the Esquí Montaña-Naturiva Fair in Madrid from 12th to 14th November and in the Ski Mountain Fair in Valencia from 19th to 21st November, where it promoted and informed visitors about the general offer of tourism products and services for the 2010-2011 season, natural areas of interest, cultural trails, greenways, hiking trails, cycle tourism and mountain biking, and inland cuisine. The Patronat de Turisme also distributed the Neu Mediterrània booklet on the ski resorts of the Pirineu de Girona to fair visitors.
The Girona resorts took part in the fairs as part of the Pirineus de Catalunya brand, composed of the Patronat de Turisme Costa Brava Girona, the Tourism Board of Lleida Provincial Council, Barcelona Provincial Council, the Val d'Aran Tourism Board and the Catalan Tourism Agency.
Meanwhile, on 20th November, the Catalan Association of Ski Resorts and Mountain Activities (ACEM) and the Catalan Tourism Agency, with the collaboration of Barcelona City Council and the members of the Pirineus de Catalunya brand, held an event in Barcelona entitled Tast de Neu, aimed at end users, to promote the area and inland cuisine as the 2010-2011 ski season gets under way. The Patronat de Turisme Costa Brava Girona took part in the initiative together with the county councils of La Cerdanya, El Ripollès and La Garrotxa, distributing information on the ski and inland tourism offer of the Pirineu de Girona.
