Promotion of business tourism
Successful participation in the Break the Ice Forum promotional action on the Costa Brava.

From 16 to 18 March the Costa Brava hosted the Break the Ice Forum promotional and trade event that brought together 80 professionals from the business tourism sector from around Europe (40 event planners and 40 suppliers for the sector). The event was co-organised by the Costa Brava Girona Convention Bureau and the Catalunya Convention Bureau and included a welcome dinner and workshop at Hotel Mas Solà, a programme of teambuilding and CSR activities at Fundació Emys, and finally, a closing dinner at Sant Salvi Monastery. Over the weekend after the event a specific fam trip was organised for some of the buyers in order to give them a broader view of the possibilities in the destination. Eight businesses from Girona actively participated in the action, including Hotel Mas Solà, Hotel Santa Marta, Casa Anamaria, Hotel Camiral Golf & Wellness, Park Hotel San Jorge, L’Azure Hotel, Evenia Hotels and Hotel Peralada Wine, Spa & Golf.
This month the Costa Brava Girona Convention Bureau also took part in two workshops: InVoyage in Marbella and Pure Meetings & Events in Paris, during which the Bureau met with 25 specialised agencies (15 of them from the USA and 10 from Europe) and 18 event planning agencies and companies. In parallel, the same week as Pure Meetings, a commercial agenda was organised in Paris with nine local event planning agencies.
