A score of media prescribers from Manchester explored the Costa Brava and Girona Pyrenees' gourmet food, wine and premium tourism products.
On 21 May, the restaurant Tast Català in Manchester, England, hosted a presentation given to a score of journalists and prescribers specialised in gastronomy, tourism and travel to promote the Costa Brava and Girona Pyrenees' gourmet food, wine and premium tourism products. The event was attended by journalists from Manchester Evening News, Time Out, Manchester’s Finest, About Manchester, OK Magazine, National Geographic, Lonely Planet and BBC Travel, among others.
It consisted of a presentation of the destination and an overview of new amenities, establishments and tourist experiences in the province, followed by a gourmet meal featuring Catalan recipes. The event was enlivened with a special appearance by the 4 Michelin star chef Paco Pérez and a sample of food products bearing the Girona Excel·lent seal.
This action will be followed by press trips to enable prescribers from the British market to gain first-hand knowledge of the destination.
