Promoting cycle tourism
The Sea Otter and the Girona Cycling Festival promote the province of Girona as an international cycle tourism destination.

During June, the Costa Brava Girona Tourist Board presented the Costa Brava and the Girona Pyrenees as a world-class cycle tourism and road cycling destination. It also took part in promoting the Sea Otter Europe Costa Brava-Girona Bike Show and the Girona Cycling Festival. From 31 May to 2 June, the Board was actively involved in organising the 3rd Sea Otter Europe Costa Brava-Girona Bike Show and in promoting the destination within the framework of this event. Subsequently, from 10 to 15 June, it also supported the Girona Cycling Festival, organised by the agency Bike Breaks-Girona Cycle Centre. This more mainstream event offered cycling enthusiasts a varied range of activities and competitions to enjoy this sport in one of the best locations for practising cycle touring, the province of Girona. One of the highlights of the Girona Cycling Festival was the Girona Gran Fondo trial, a circular 125-kilometre route, and the uphill time trial to Els Àngels, 7 kilometres from Girona.
