From 21 to 24 March, the Patronat de Turisme Costa Brava Girona, Girona Provincial Council’s tourism promotion body, representing the Girona tourism sector and accompanied by the tourist municipalities of Blanes, Lloret de Mar and Castell-Platja d’Aro and various Girona tourism businesses, promoted and publicised destinations in the Girona region among the public and professionals attending the biggest tourism fair in Russia: MITT 2012.
To coincide with MITT, on the evening of Thursday, 22 March, Girona Provincial Council, Patronat de Turisme Costa Brava Girona and the Catalan Tourism Agency organised a promotional event based on a themed dinner – “Costa Brava Dinner” at the Setebello Restaurant in Moscow – to present the range of tourism on offer in the Costa Brava and Pirineu de Girona destination to 120 professionals from travel agencies, airline representatives, journalists and Russian dignitaries. The country’s main tourism operators — Natalie Tours, Coral Travel, Tez Tours, Pegas Touristik, Russian Express, Neva Travel, Rusiber, etc. – attended the promotional event.
The annual conventions of the Russian tour operators Coral Travel and Tez Tours will soon also be held on the Costa Brava in order to publicise the destination at first hand to holiday sellers and, at the same time, increase the programming of the destination with other tourism products. This spring, almost 400 travel agents from the tour operators Coral Travel and Tez Tours will get to know the destination with very interesting programmes for discovering the area and the range of tourism on offer there.
