Instagram your city

Palafrugell and Figueres organise Instragramer competitions as a way for participants to discover hidden corners of the towns

On Saturday 27^th April a gathering and competition for Instagramers entitled "Instagram your city - InstaPalafrugell" took place, coinciding with the Flowers and Violas festival. 51 Instagramers took part. This was followed on 1^st May by the InstaFigueres competition in Figueres, in which 112 Instagramers took part.

The participants in the competitions published 791 photographs of Palafrugell and 1125 of Figueres. Using the hashtags #InstaFigueres and #InCostaBrava, users could participate and follow the activity on the Costa Brava and Pirineu de Girona social networks, as well as through Instagramers Girona. The names of the winners are published on the @costabravapirineu Instagram channel with the label #InstaGirona #InPyrenees. The prizes are stays and meals in Palafrugell and Figueres.

Four "Instagram your city" competitions are scheduled for May: 11^th May in L’Escala, 18^th May in Besalú, 19^th May in Palamós and 25^th May in Cassà de la Selva.

"Instagram your City" is a new activity launched by the Costa Brava Girona Tourist Board with the goal of publicising and communicating the tourist attractions of the tourism towns of the Costa Brava and Girona Pyrenees destinations on social networks.
