Girona Pyrenees promoted in Mallorca

New tourism companies and organisations from Girona’s inland and mountain areas present their tourism offer for the autumn-winter 2016-2017 season to 60 Mallorca travel agents and 20 journalists from general and industry-specific media outlets.

The Costa Brava Girona Tourist Board’s “Pyrenees Girona, 2016-2017” promotional event was celebrated in Palma de Mallorca on 18 October. The event kicked off with workshops for professional travel agencies in the Balearic Islands and representatives from Girona’s organisations and tourism companies: the Masella ski resort, Ferrocarriles de la Generalitat de Catalunya railway company —with stations in La Molina, Vall de Núria and Vallter 2000—, Solineu Hotels, Guitart Hotels, the Puigcerdà tourist office, the Cerdanya County Council, the Tourism Apartment Association and the Catalan Pyrenees. The workshop was followed by a presentation on the destination, which was also attended by roughly 20 Balearic Island journalists. The promotional event ended with a food tasting offered by representatives from La Garrotxa’s Cuina Volcànica (Volcanic Cooking) collective. This communication and promotional event launches the Board’s calendar of activities to promote the Girona Pyrenees’s new 2016-2017 tourism innovations in the Spanish market.
