The Costa Brava on Instagram

Seven instagramers with 500,000 followers between them travel through Catalonia and along the Costa Brava to promote the destinations.

A familiarisation trip took place on 15th and 16th June for seven Instagram users from various parts of Europe (with 500,000 followers between them), including some of the most influential in the field of tourism.

The group of instagramers discovered and photographed the Costa Brava in an intensive two-day schedule of visits and activities that included covering part of the area by electric bike (burricleta), hiking along the greenway, sailing from Palamós to Llafranc in the schooner Pepa Bandera, a hot air balloon ride over the Empordà area with Globus Empordà and visits to the Gala-Dalí Castle in Púbol and to the mediaeval town of Pals.

Some of the participants in this promotional and communication initiative were Ragnhild Aarseth, @Riamolde (Norway), Phil Gonzalez, @philgonzalez @igers (Spain – Madrid) and Herbert Schröer, @herbertschroer (Holland).

This initiative was promoted and organised by the Catalan Tourism Agency in conjunction with the Patronat de Turisme Costa Brava Girona and Tino Soriano, a prestigious National Geographic photographer from Banyoles, who offered advice on the most suitable landscapes and beauty spots for photographs.
