Costa Brava and Girona Pyrenees Hostels

Four Girona hostels create tourist offers to spur family tourism and nature activities

Abergs a la Costa Brava i Prineus de Girona

The hostels of Llançà, Banyoles, Vall d’en Bas and Sant Joan de les Abadesses join together under the brand Costa Brava and Girona Pyrenees Hostels with the goal of becoming the archetype of hostel networks in the Girona counties in terms of quality of management and lodging, so as to create tourist packages and encourage family tourism and nature activities

The four hostels, members of the Nature and Active Tourism Club of the Costa Brava Girona Tourist Board under the aegis of the Girona Provincial Council, work on cooperation and promotion methods to stimulate the offerings of the establishments throughout the year as well as offers of tourist resources and activities in the province of Girona. The methods include the creation of a discount card for users and the proposal of tourist packages, sold through travel agencies, focused on hiking and road cycling.

The Costa Brava Girona Tourist Board is supporting this initiative because it adds value to the establishments and the destination as well as offering benefits to customers, the majority being young people and families, and shows the commitment of the Board to sustainable, inclusive and social tourism.

In 2013, the four hostels, which offer 297 beds, welcomed 23,300 guests of which 80% came from the Barcelona province and 10% from abroad.
